1. Preamble & Organizational Scope
This Privacy Policy governs the collection, processing, storage, and cross-border transfer of personal and telemetry data across the Institutional Digital Resource & Academic System ("IDRAS"), an educational operating system deployed for higher education institutions (including partner universities such as Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, and independent scholars worldwide).
IDRAS operates as a Data Fiduciary (under Indian law) and a Data Controller/Processor (under European and US laws) with respect to students, faculty members, institutional administrators, and guest readers interacting with our digital curricula, CodeLab compilers, SQL Workbenches, Feed Studio, and simulation laboratories.
2. Categories of Data Collected & Processed
- Full Legal Name & Academic Email Address
- Platform-Generated UUID (Immutable internal identity)
- University Affiliation, School, Degree Program & Semester
- Cryptographically hashed passwords (Argon2 / SHA-256 with salts)
- Institutional Roll Number (Strictly compartmentalized)
- CodeLab source code scripts, compiler input/outputs
- SQL Workbench queries, execution metrics, database snapshots
- Feed Studio authored technical articles, questions, answers
- Weekly learning velocity, streak tallies, and topic mastery
- Laboratory simulation parameter logs and verification status
3. Strict Purpose Limitation
We strictly process data solely for the fulfillment of authentic academic and educational mandates:
- Providing isolated compiler execution and database sandboxes for engineering coursework.
- Generating verifiable student competency metrics and progressive academic transcripts.
- Enforcing role-based access control (RBAC) to ensure students never access administrative, faculty, or peer workspaces without authorization.
- Publishing student-authored articles and code exclusively under author-selected visibility settings (Public, University, or Private).
